Party Highlights

  • Desserts

The cake was a delicious chocolate cake filled with a coconut condensed milk filling. YUUUUUUMMMMMMM!!!!!

  • Activities / Games

We had a jumping castle plus lots of toys the kids could play on (slide, mini rollercoaster, cars to drive around in, hula hoops, balls, bubbles, etc.) So much fun!

  • Best Moment

Jake jumping up and down while everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him.

  • What People Ate

Lots and lots of sweets of course! I had a table with sandwiches, dips, and sushi. I also had finger foods catered plus hamburgers, hot dogs, and french fries. There was WAY too much food!!

  • What People Drank

The kids drank juice or water. We had beer, wine, champagne, strawberry lemonade, and softdrinks for the adults.

This party is outstanding. Was the Elmo face a large icing covered cookie? AWESOME!

Thanks for the compliment! No, Elmo's head is not a big cookie, but that is a GREAT idea! His head is actually styrofoam. Too easy!

Hi Lakeshia. Thank you for the compliment. I actually made all of the Elmo cookies myself! I bought an Elmo cookie cutter and then used fondant for the face. It was easy but very time-consuming! Good luck with your daughter's party. Elmo is so much fun for that age.

Cecelia, I have a son named Jake that is turning two. Do you have any of your decor left over that you would be willing to sell me? We are doing these exact colors and Elmo. Thanks!

Hi Kim, I had Paula from "Frog Prince Paperie" design all of my decor. She is AMAZING!!! I bet she would sell you all of the designs for a discounted price since all the hard work is done. You can have a look at her stuff on etsy.com or go to her website frogprincepaperie.com. I cannot recommend Paula enough. She works so hard to make sure everything is perfect. And, unfortunately, I JUST threw out all of the paper globe balls (hanging from the trees) LAST WEEK!!! Argh!! I would have loved to send those to you. It broke my heart to throw them out! All of that hard work!!! Good luck with the party! Elmo is so much fun for a 2 year old!!

I would like to attempt to make this cake for my son's party. Are the arms and legs just icing coming from the cake?

    Cecelia T wrote:

Hi Kelley...yes, the arms and legs are just big blobs of fondant. You could actually use leftover cake as well. Good luck! Also...just a little tip...the bottom layer and Elmo's head are styrofoam so I was able to make them in advance.
