had so much fun styling this table. My vision was to create Ariel’s sweet 16 birthday party. Ariel was a princess, so I imagined shiny, glittery and glamorous. I feel I got that from this shoot. I live in New Orleans, We don’t have real “beaches” with beautiful blue water. We do have lakes & rivers. I wanted to shoot by the water. This location was amazing. It is in Slidell, Louisiana. Me & Sr. Scouted out this location, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I loved the sea shells, the big boulders, and the view. It was griddy and that’s exactly what I wanted. Here at JewelBoxCreativeStudios we love to show contrast. We feel it brings life to designs. Sr, said it felt out of place, but it made so much sense being there because it was unexpected delight and that’s the only way to explain this shoot. The colors were inspired by the mermaid invitations that were created for an amazing client, however, for this shoot, I changed the invitations to Ariel. I loved the colors so much. I just had to create printables for the Etsy shop to match. I also wanted to get this vision out of my head of this amazing glamorous dinner party for Ariel & her friends. The colors to me went well together. The colors were Tiffany blue, gold, purple, and red. I would have never imagined putting all the colors together, but they worked out great. The flowers reminded me of coral, and my amazing husband did an awesome job with the arrangements! I loved them so much.
This dessert table was fun to put together. I wanted it to be simple, but still make a big statement… I feel it did such. I wanted the table to match the dinner table, but I didn’t want it to be so obvious. I want it to have it’s own personality. It had less gold & red and more blue, pink & purple.. Most of the desserts were made by JewelBoxCreativeStudios. We created all labels. They will be available in our Etsy Shop!
I feel the boulders are a great touch for the back drop. There was no need to add anything to create a back drop because the view was enough.
