Purple Ombre Color Party

Party Recap

I love the ombre trend that's going around these days. So with my daughter's birthday coming around I wanted to somehow incorporate ombre and her love of painting. I chose to revolve the entire party around the color purple in various shades.

The kids had a painting table with their own framed canvases to create their masterpiece and a personalized apron. The centerpieces were flowers created with purple paint sample chips. I even tied the utensils and napkins onto paint sample chips.

The dessert table was full of purple goodies. The backdrop's focal point was the framed melted crayon art that mimicked spilled paint in the shape of a "3." My daughter's friends were treated to purple ombre macaroons, sugar cookies, purple nerds in mini-paint cans, rock candies, gigantic marshmallows, and a paint-your-own cupcake. All the baked goods were from The Sugar Angel. All the kids left the party with paint can puzzles and a paint can full of goodies.

The kids also got an opportunity to paint their faces (and arms and hands...) and take polaroid pictures at the photo booth.

With a newborn just 2 months old, I wasn't sure if I would be able to pull this off. But for days after the party my daughter kept saying that she wanted another happy birthday, right now. So it must have been a success!
