Stachetastic Father's Day!

This Father's Day my husband, son and I hosted a BBQ for our fathers. I style dessert tables for every other birthday, holiday or event in our family, so I wanted to come up with a simple, but fun way to honor the dads. I wanted the decor to be masculine, but playful, so I was inspired by the current mustache craze. I know it's been around a while, but it seems to still be going strong.

The attached pictures show the final concept - simple, but fun. The guys really appreciated something extra special for their special day.

• Best Moment

  It's always a great moment to see our 17 month old playing with his grandpa's. They got to watch him recite the alphabet, count to 10, dance and chase bubbles. The boys, big and small had a great day!

• Most Touching Moment

  The most touching moment for the grandpa's was our little man walking around saying "papaw" over and over again. He talks a lot, but rarely says mama or dada. He says papaw like a pro!

• Desserts

  The dessert table was filled with: Milk in vintage milk bottles with Straw Flags; Pineapple Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting with Mustache Cupcake Toppers (my hubby's current favorite - at least this month); Ultimate Pecan Turtle Cookies (I took some help from Nestlé Tollhouse on these - hard to beat!); Miniature Chocolate bars with Custom Mini Candy Bar Wrappers; Buckeyes & Modjeskas (caramel covered marshmallows - yum!) from The Candy Emporium in Nashville, IN - http://www.thecandyemporium.com/; Water bottles with Mustache Bottle Wraps - not pictured; Mini Key Lime Cheesecakes - not pictured

• Activities / Games

  The day was filled with eating, catching up, laughter, playing with baby, lots of fun and love!
