Party Recap

I planned a bridal shower my friend, Kristen for late morning (11am), served mimosas, sandwiches (her family loves sandwiches!), a couple salads, deviled eggs, and a gorgeous cake made by one of the other bridesmaids. It was a beautiful and joyous event, and Kristen was not only “showered” with gifts, but also with words of love and encouragement from everyone in attendance.

We played two bridal shower games:
Necklace Game: Everyone received a pearl necklace upon arrival and were told not to say the name of the bride or groom. If they said the name, whoever caught them took their necklace. The person at the end with the most necklaces won.

Double Bubble Game: Before the shower, we asked Kristen’s fiance a whole bunch of questions, including ones we knew she wouldn’t know the answer to. At the shower, she was told the question and had to give the same answer her fiance gave. For every incorrect answer she gave, she had to add another piece of Double Bubble in her mouth. By the end of the game, she had a nice, big wad of gum in her mouth.

For decor, we used lots of flowers (Kristen loves flowers) and engagement pictures (done by Jen Disney) of the couple. I also made a few banners (Mr. & Mrs., Love, I Do, Scott & Kristen) from Hello Brielle‘s designs, as well as some puff balls and hanging confetti garland. All party printables were designed by Monika at Hello Brielle; the invitation came from AMD Studio.
