Combining two of my favorite slow stitching techniques – embroidery and English paper piecing, this sweet little set of coasters would make a great hostess gift, and it’s a great scrap buster too! Once you have the general idea down, you could switch out the embroideries for other themes.

This is an instant download PDF pattern with full instructions and templates for the paper piecing and the hand embroidery. Full embroidery instructions are also included, along with fabric and thread suggestions.

WHAT YOU GET:

WHAT YOU NEED:: all the supplies you need can easily be found at any local craft store::
~ embroidery needles
~ an embroidery hoop for stitching
~ scissors
~ divisible embroidery floss (specific color suggestions are noted in the pattern directions)
~ fabric for the coasters
~ water-soluble transfer pen OR carbon tracing paper
- a printer and cardstock to print the paper piecing templates

STITCH LEVEL:
~ this pattern is great for BEGINNERS on up. This is a great introduction to paper piecing AND hand embroidery and the perfect take-along project for a long road trip or curling up with a good movie.
