Party Recap

Party Printables:

I set out creating the party printables to emulate the theme, and the colors of the retro bricks set the tone for the designs and the styling, which is perfect for playdates but also appeals to birthday kids of any age!

The colorful invitation have a front opening cover that looks like a stack of building bricks, housing the cool matching invites inside. I can't take credit for that one, as it was my husband's idea! :)

The Desserts Table:

The cake is simplicity itself! With a few 3-D building blocks / brick design from the printable kit, I created a super cute and colorful bunting to adorn it ( tutorial coming tomorrow!).

The milk glass bottles are decorated with printable wraps, printable party tags and colored paper straws, ready to be filled. The printable building bricks designs, once again show their versatility as straw flags here.

The cuteness is int he detail, so I used real brick to make some adorable place-card holder! Tutorial here.

Party Games and Activities:

No party is complete without some games and activities, and I opted for a cute individual mini pinata (tutorial here) filled with goodies. These are great as little table decorations, place-setting treats or an activity for kids to make too.

To keep them amused during the party and at the table, I also created a personalized place-mat and building block shaped crayons box. The crayons were wrapped with printable scrapbook papers from the kit for an assorted look.

Another fun idea is to have a cookie decorating station with a cute sign, and provide all the supplies needed so kids can decorate their own "Lego" cookies. I provided colored icing tubes, rectangular biscuit and colored candy. Yummy fun guaranteed!!

Party Favor Ideas:

Treats look so adorable when in miniature size, right?! here they were packaged in cute mini gable boxes, that were decorated with bottle wraps from the kit, and a cute brick-shaped favor tag tied to the handle with colored baker's twine.

We also had mini chocolate bars wrapped in brick-shaped printable candy bar wrappers! How cute are those?! :) Simply place them in a clear bag and finish off with a printable bag topper.
All party printables and supplies used in this shoot are available in the shop. See below for the links!
